a2censo Transforming Investment Landscape in Latin America

In the vibrant world of investments, a platform called a2censo is making waves with its innovative approach to crowdfunding. Starting at $500,000 for individuals and averaging at $2.2 million, a2censo is part of the investment hub of nuam, the integrated stock exchange of Chile, Peru, and Colombia.

Andrea Mosquera, the director of a2censo, shared exciting insights into their success story. She mentioned that the platform has facilitated funding opportunities for 193 companies through 217 campaigns. Some businesses have even conducted multiple campaigns to secure resources, with three firms each running four campaigns.

“We have mobilized an impressive $111.3 billion so far. In 2024, we witnessed our first two capital operations where investors acquired stakes in Bruder craft brewery from Boyacá and Santuario Hostels in Cartagena,”

Andrea explained enthusiastically.

The Bolsa de Valores de Colombia has been instrumental in supporting this initiative. According to Andrea,

“We have seen 14,754 investors making 97,308 investments in this alternative market space. An overwhelming majority of 98% are individual investors amounting to 14,633 people with an average ticket size of $2.2 million.”

Moreover, there are also 91 registered corporate entities participating as investors with an average ticket size for financing at $3.3 million and for stocks at $4.6 million respectively.

Diving deeper into the demographics of these investments reveals that 101 small businesses form the largest segment followed by 39 micro-enterprises, 39 medium-sized enterprises and finally 14 large corporations involved in this ecosystem.

When it comes to risk management within crowdfunding activities, Andrea highlighted their responsible practices saying:

“Before investors commit funds to any campaign on our platform they are clearly informed about associated risks upfront because like any credit or capital activity there are inherent risks involved.”

She emphasized on financial literacy initiatives undertaken by a2censo stating:

“We have prioritized educating everyday retail investors about financial matters as they engage with our platform.”

Looking towards the future aspirations of a2censo within nuam’s regional landscape she stated:

“Our vision involves offering collaborative financing across all three countries since early-2024 when we started operating within the regional hub.”

Mentorship programs along with product development efforts will be put into place aiming to guide companies towards entering the primary market successfully.

Innovative strategies are on the horizon as plans include expanding action lines such as specialized capital for convertible notes primarily aimed at supporting early-stage firms alongside scientific-based equity crowdfunding termed crowdequity.

With its ambitions set high on nurturing issuers into successful market players regionally across Latin America; a2censo stands poised as a transformative force reshaping traditional investment paradigms.
