Body Paint Tematica Venezuela

President Nicolás Maduro Moros set in motion the ambitious

“Gran Misión Madre Tierra Venezuela”

from Mérida, aiming to tackle the ecological challenges faced by the nation amidst recent climate emergencies. Standing at the iconic Mukumbarí Cable Car System, he outlined a vision inspired by Simón Bolívar and Hugo Chávez’s ecosocialism principles.

“We are embarking on a grand structural mission to transform Venezuelan society and adapt to the new climate reality,”

expressed President Maduro, emphasizing the significance of this initiative in shaping a sustainable future. The mission comprises seven key pillars that will guide Venezuela towards environmental rejuvenation and global sustainability leadership.

The first pillar focuses on organizing Ecosocialism Committees within Community Circuits nationwide. This entails integrating community projects under one umbrella to address emerging challenges effectively. President Maduro stressed the urgency of embracing this new reality and encouraged grassroots leaders to spearhead these efforts across all communities.

The second pillar, “Planting Life,

” underscores the establishment of nurseries and tree planting initiatives countrywide. Through organized plant production, areas in need of reforestation will be targeted to safeguard watershed areas and establish productive plantations. Strengthening capabilities for plant collection, storage, and distribution forms a crucial aspect of this endeavor.

Moving on to the third pillar, “

Territory for Life,

” detailed studies on geographical basins, risk mapping, and national park applications are planned. This includes identifying hydrographic basins while proposing an Operational Committee for Basin Management aimed at assessing current basin conditions comprehensively.

The fourth pillar titled “

Climate for Life” will lay out strategies to manage climate fluctuations and restore Venezuelan forests through science and technology observatories. The fifth pillar zooms in on terrestrial and marine wildlife conservation along with regenerative agriculture practices essential for biodiversity preservation.

Completing the structure are two additional pillars dedicated to sanitation measures and life-sustaining production methods further enhancing the Mission’s framework.

During his visit to Mukumbarí Cable Car System, President Maduro highlighted ongoing rehabilitation efforts across various sectors affected by heavy rainfall in Mérida state. Expressing solidarity with Texas flood victims showcased Venezuela’s commitment to assisting others during natural disasters based on their own revolution experiences.

Referencing wildfires in Turkey, Syria, Spain, floods in Russia & China illustrated how global climatic shifts were impacting nations worldwide as part of his call-to-action regarding climate change adaptation efforts.
