From shooting hoops on a makeshift crate in the Bahamas to a slam dunk over NBA players, VJ Edgecombe’s journey is straight out of a Hollywood script. Selected by the Philadelphia 76ers as the third overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Edgecombe made history as one of the highest draft picks ever from the Bahamas.

Moving to the U.S. for high school, he honed his skills and excelled at Long Island Lutheran in New York before making waves at Baylor University.
