At the helm of this transformative narrative is Sciaena – a member organization of Seas At Risk that champions ocean conservation with a holistic approach involving all stakeholders. Through the project Mulheres da Ria (Women of Ria), funded by Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Sciaena embarked on a mission to elevate the voices and roles of these unsung heroines who form the backbone of Culatra’s coastal community.
